CIF Operations Plan
The 2012 Operations Plan incorporates direction from MIPC that $10 million of the CIF budget be focused on regional optimization projects and to undertake a study of how a provincially optimized MRF and transfer station system might be developed.
The CIF Operations Plan is developed annually to meet the objectives described in the Strategic Plan (December 2007).
The 2012 Operations Plan introduces a change in how the CIF will operate, as result of reduced funding for 2012.

Program funding is derived by setting aside a percentage of the fees that companies contribute to municipalities as their share of the cost of operating Ontario's blue box programs.
