On September 22, 2009, the Minister of the Environment approved the Consolidated Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste (MHSW) Program Plan.  To view the correspondence from the Minister, please click here.

The Consolidated MHSW Program Plan is comprised of the following documents:

·        Consolidated MHSW Program Plan Volume I (dated July 30, 2009)

·        Consolidated MHSW Program Plan Volume II (dated August 6, 2009)

·        Errata corrections to Volume I and Volume II (dated August 6, 2009)

·        Consolidated MHSW Program Plan - Report on Consultation (dated July 30, 2009)

The Consolidated MHSW Program Plan will commence on July 1, 2010.  In the interim, Stewardship Ontario will continue to implement the Phase 1 MHSW Program Plan that commenced on July 1, 2008.
